Innovak Global addresses new strategies to optimize the production of high-quality cherries

At a seminar held in Rancagua, Innovak Global presented a series of innovative strategies and recommended practices to improve the quality of cherry production, one of the most important crops in Chilean fruit growing. The event brought together agronomy specialists, researchers and producers from various regions of the country, interested in perfecting their cultivation methods and staying at the forefront of the industry.

Luis Gerardo Piñero, Andean South regional leader of Innovak Global.

The meeting focused on the importance of efficient agricultural management, highlighting the crucial role played by advanced technologies in obtaining high-quality cherries. Experts stressed the need to implement precise nutritional management, adjusted to the specific conditions of each orchard, to ensure adequate plant nutrition. In addition, the impact of factors such as rootstock selection, irrigation management and the implementation of biological controls for plant protection was discussed.

One of the most relevant topics was post-harvest handling, which is key to preserving the quality of the fruit until it reaches international markets. Techniques were discussed to minimize damage during harvesting and transportation, as well as strategies to optimize the storage and conservation of cherries, ensuring that they maintain their organoleptic and visual characteristics until the moment of consumption.

The seminar was also an opportunity for the exchange of experiences among attendees, who shared their challenges and successes in cherry production. This space allowed producers to learn first-hand about the latest developments in crop management and the innovative solutions that are setting trends in modern fruit growing.

With events like this, Innovak Global reaffirms its commitment to agricultural excellence in Chile, supporting producers in their mission to achieve the highest standards of quality and competitiveness in the global market.
