A few days ago, the cherry exporting community in Region VI met at an extraordinary event that not only strengthened collaboration between producers, but also provided valuable knowledge to optimize their operations. The Cherry Technical Talk took place in a pleasant atmosphere during a breakfast that encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences.
In the first presentation, Agr. MS cs. Eng. Juan Ignacio Reyes, Head of Technical Development at Point Chile, presented the results of the Propulse trials, an auxin phytohormone in cherry fields.

The highlight of the day was the keynote address by Carlos Tapia. In his talk, entitled “Developing intelligent programs: a look at the most common successes and mistakes,” Tapia shared his vast knowledge and offered a critical view of the challenges and opportunities that cherry exporters face today. The attendees participated actively, asking questions and discussing the most effective strategies to optimize their processes.
In addition, participants had the privilege of listening to Samuel Roman, a leading consultant specialising in cherry nutrition. In his presentation entitled “Fundamentals of cherry nutrition”, Roman provided key information on how to ensure optimal health and performance of cherry trees through proper nutrition. His talk was enthusiastically received and generated renewed interest in the importance of nutrition in cherry production.

The success of this event would not have been possible without the support of Bio Insumos Nativa – Chile and Martinez y Valdivieso, companies that actively collaborated in the organization and logistics of the event.
