Gowan Chile held a launch event for its new phytosanitary product Ecoswing in two outstanding venues: the Hotel Villa el Descanso in Curicó and the Los Lirios Golf Club in Rancagua. The event was marked by the participation of renowned experts in the agricultural industry, who shared their knowledge and perspectives with the attendees.
José Miguel Álvarez, marketing manager of Gowan Chile, highlighted the importance of this type of initiatives for the company: “Our spirit as a phytosanitary company is to always be in tune with the challenges of farmers. For this reason, we are always thinking about how to provide new tools to farmers that help them achieve the productive and profitable level that their crops require, and holding this type of event is the starting point, with great exhibitors, who provide valuable and important information.”
The event had the outstanding participation of technical advisor Walter Masman, a cherry specialist, who highlighted the relevance of this launch in the context of the current season: “First, I would like to thank the people at Gowan. It is always interesting to talk, emphasize and evaluate some of the possible scenarios that may occur during the season from now on, since it is a very particular campaign, very different from the previous one, where today we can assume a high and great quality of accumulation of Cold Hours, which will bring with it high productive levels if everything follows a normal course, but with expectations of what the entry of the 'La Niña' phenomenon can do and how it can affect this process.”
Víctor Navia, technical development advisor for Gowan Chile, expressed his satisfaction with the development of Ecoswing, a product that he considers revolutionary: “It is a great satisfaction to be able to provide new tools to producers, in this case of cherry trees, with a world-class product, which has qualities such as disease control, attracts bees and biostimulates, in my opinion, the best I have developed in 40 years of profession.”
Finally, Dr. Karina Buzzetti, an expert in agricultural sciences, provided a comprehensive vision in her speech, highlighting the importance of integrated pest management and environmental conservation: “In particular, in this talk given for Gowan and focused on agricultural producers, the concepts of integrated pest management were incorporated, in compliance with both the new regulations governing agriculture, in terms of conservation and pollinators concentrated in bees, as well as other regulations that are linked to the environmental field. This concept seeks to train farmers, preventing some problems from the point of view of sustainability.”
In this way, Gowan Chile continues to provide innovative and effective solutions to the country's agricultural challenges.
