Latest cherry box openings in Chinese markets

The end of a new cherry season is approaching and the ports and markets reflect this scenario.

On February 18th, the Akadimos Ship arrived at the port of Hong Kong with an equivalent of 82 FCLs. As for the markets, there is very little cherry; Guangzhou opened between 10 to 5 containers daily, especially at the second opening hour, around 9.30 in the morning.

What remains on the market is Regina, which as we have said for the last few weeks, has shown irregular quality.

Prices for best fruit, just as a reference during week 7, were 2.5kg JD 150, SJD 160. And the same prices proportionally for 5kg box.

In this final part, the variety stood out, although with very little volume. Staccato, which has been on average RMB 30/2.5kg box versus Regina. As for the few Sweethearts in Chinese markets, they have been looking good.

There are very few cherries to be seen in the markets, but there are a lot of imported grapes, citrus fruits and stone fruits.

As for the last volume that stands out, according to what was possible to see in Fruit online statistics, there are 7 containers arriving on the Seaspan Brighhness ship on February 26, week 8.
