As every season, the arrival of the first air shipment of Chilean cherries to China generated great expectations. The delicacies left last week from Ovalle, where the harvest officially began with the Brooks variety on October 26, six days later than the 2021-22 season.

The cherries were sent by Agroindustrial Valle Arriba through the exporter Garcés Fruit, who showed in a video on its Instagram account the arrival of the fruit at its destination and the availability of Chilean cherries in the wholesale markets of Shanghai, Jiaxing and Hubei Gaobeidian.

Within the next few days, the commercial reports of these first shipments of cherries for the 2022-23 season will be known; it is worth mentioning that last year the price of the first cherries reached USD 58 per kilo.
