And as every year, it is time for the typical question: Niña or niño? Unlike other times, today there is a rather interesting edge, because probably during the next few months, we will have to face a transition from the current “La Niña” event to “El Niño”.
Change in the team
"La Niña" and "El Niño" are natural phenomena that correspond to the interaction of the ocean and the atmosphere and are known as El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO). For this year 2023, according to the respective analyses of the International Research Institute for Climate and Society, "El Niño" will dominate the quarter of June, July and August, coinciding with our winter.
