Already entering into full cherry production in the different agro-climatic zones of Chile and knowing the productive potential that we can reach, especially considering that this winter has been one of the most attractive from the cold point of view, it is essential to understand the behavior of the cherry and the key stages in which we must aim to impact the quality parameters, and as a fundamental pillar in the caliber.
This is why the use of cytokine bioregulators will be one of the most important tools to affect stage I of fruit growth, such as cell division, where at this time the growth rate is exponential, which translates into the importance of the number of cells we manage to reach, more than their size, being what will directly impact our final harvest.
Putting ourselves in a general scenario that we had an optimal winter cold with good final flower development (May to July), and with it a perspective of abundant and less extensive flowering than the previous season, it will be important to support this greater energy expenditure in stages from flowering to the beginning of hardening of the stone (stage I of cell division) with strategies that manage to impact this initial development of the fruit, especially knowing the cherry as a deciduous species, which in its first phenological states occupies carbon and nitrogen reserves from the previous season.
