We invite you to watch this testimonial video, where Don Emilio Moya, Manager of the Agrícola Mancilla & Moya company, who produce export-quality apples and cherries, tells our Zonal Manager for the Maule region, Sebastián Véliz, about the excellent experience he had with two products from the VADPAGRO portfolio; First, he talks about the POSEIDON homogenizer, which he tested on his Santina variety cherry trees, where he managed to obtain the same production as a normal year thanks to POSEIDON, in the 2023-2024 season, where many producers experienced a drop in yields.
Then he tells us about his experience with EQUI-SUN in the applications made on the Granny Smith variety where he was able to compare between two of his fields; in one in the Mercedes sector he did not apply our product and in the field in the Odessa sector, he did apply the EQUI-SUN sunscreen + anticracking where he clearly noticed the difference between the two productions, experiencing 20% more yield and a substantial reduction in sunburn, since where it occurred it was very mild, versus the field where he applied another product, and obtained fruits with severe sunburn in some cases, making the decision that for this 2024-2025 season he will apply EQUI-SUN on all his Granny Smith apple trees. The strategy to substantially reduce sunburn was to apply 1 liter of EQUI-SUN per hectare every 15 days.

Remember that, in some areas and varieties, there is still time to use the POSEIDON homogenizer, since it can be applied until the beginning of green tips, with or without hydrogenated cyanamide, at a dose of 30 liters/hectare and with wetting of 1,000 liters of water/hectare; and already in this phenological state, without the need to accompany it with an adhesive. POSEIDON never needs to be accompanied by calcium nitrate.
We still have a small stock left to cover a few hectares.
We have already been able to confirm that, in early areas and varieties, this start of sprouting is not uniform, despite the great quantity and quality of cold weather we had this winter, so the POSEIDON homogenizer will be of great help to standardize the progress of the next phenological stages and hopefully achieve a concentrated harvest. The season for pre-harvest applications of EQUI-SUN as an anti-cracking agent is also approaching; we invite you to coordinate a visit to your field with VADPAGRO agronomists, in order to diagnose each case on site and obtain a personalized program in time by species, variety, area and phenological state.
Please note that, as a preventive program, we recommend starting EQUI-SUN applications for cracking, with a 5% of color break, that is, 95% of the remaining fruit that is still green, at a dose of 2 liters/hectare; and as a shock program in case of not starting a preventive program, we recommend a dose of 3 liters/hectare. In both cases of preventive or shock program, it should be applied 2 to 3 days before the rain.
