Cogrowers presents two innovative technological services

In a bid to modernise the agricultural supply chain and technologise harvesting in real time, Cogrowers has launched two new services that promise to revolutionise the way farmers manage their operations.

The first of these services is “Truck Monitoring to Packing”, through an online platform that allows maintaining the quality and cold chain of agricultural products from the departure of the truck to the packing.

We spoke with Matías Navarrete, manager and co-founder of Cogrowers, to understand how this service contributes to optimizing logistical efficiency in the agricultural supply chain.

“This service aims to bring stability to the supply chain, providing real-time visibility of atmospheric conditions inside the thermoses for optimal preservation of the quality of the cherries,” explains Navarrete. In addition, the platform offers online tracking of the location of the trucks, with programmable alerts in case of malfunctioning refrigeration. These alerts are sent via WhatsApp or phone calls, allowing users to make immediate decisions to improve logistics and guarantee product quality.

In short, Truck Monitoring to Packing not only ensures fruit quality, but also offers significant long-term economic benefits such as reduced losses, improved logistics efficiency and increased customer satisfaction.

The second service introduced by Cogrowers is a fully digital “Online Harvest System Platform”, which is being offered free of charge to the company’s customers this year. Matías Navarrete explains how this technology improves crop planning and management for farmers.

"The new platform seeks to group all the relevant information about the harvests in one place, allowing producers, contractors and harvesters to access and view yields, the number of kilos packaged, stored and shipped," says Navarrete. The platform also allows for scheduling future harvests, facilitating the creation of an online harvest program in a user-friendly and intuitive way.

The highlight of this initiative is its inclusive approach, directly involving harvesters to improve transparency in terms of payments, efficiencies and crew performances. Each harvester can review and make transparent their performance, improving communication and trust throughout the supply chain.

Cogrowers not only introduces technological innovations, but also addresses common technological adoption challenges in agriculture. “We make sure to be in constant communication with our clients, offering regular training and explaining how new technologies work,” says Navarrete. The company seeks to stay up to date on technological trends in agriculture, allowing farmers to find specific improvements and offer a more complete and accurate service.

In doing so, Cogrowers is not only driving efficiency and transparency in the agricultural supply chain, but is also leading the way in technological adoption in crop management, providing farmers with innovative tools to optimize their operations.
