The day will be led by two renowned experts in the sector: Antonio Gaete, Consultant in organic production, and the Doctor in Agricultural Sciences, specialist in Entomology, Karina Buzzetti, who will address different topics on the biological management of soil pests.
“Bet on a balanced future” is the title of the interesting webinar organized by Corteva Agriscience, which will take place on August 31 at 5:00 p.m. The meeting, which will be virtual and last two hours, will focus on the importance of comprehensive control and the benefits of maintaining a sustainable strategy in soil management.
The webinar speakers will be Antonio Gaete, Consultant in organic production, and the Doctor in Agricultural Sciences, specialist in Entomology, Karina Buzzetti; in addition, leading members of Corteva will share their knowledge with a focus on the relevance of the care and management of an agriculture that cultivates actions that enrich our future, and on the technical aspects of Capirel®, a biological controller for the management of larvae of a wide range of soil insects in fruit trees and vines.
“Biocontrollers are part of the natural management of pests that pose minimal risk to the environment, beneficial fauna and mammals. Capirel® contains the beneficial nematode species Steirnernema feltiae that is applied in a gel formulation, in doses of 1,500 million live individuals per hectare via technical irrigation or drenching in fruit orchards during times of highest larval proportion of the pest and with soil temperatures that exceed 13°C with soil moisture that ideally reaches field capacity,” explained Alejandro Toro, Field Agronomist at Corteva Chile, on one of the topics that will be addressed in the online seminar.
Registration for the webinar organized by Corteva, a publicly traded global agricultural company that provides producers around the world with the most comprehensive portfolio in the industry, will be free of charge, but prior registration is required.
