“SmartCherry Open” will bring together important advisors and exponents around the cherry industry

The event is free and will be hosted by Avium's expert cherry cultivation advisor and Technical Director, Carlos Tapia.

On June 22, at 6:00 p.m., the first session of “SmartCherry Open” will be held, an interesting online discussion series, in which relevant national fruit exponents and advisors will participate.

The event, consisting of four sessions that will take place between June and August of this year, will be free of charge and will be hosted by the renowned expert advisor on cherry cultivation, Carlos Tapia.

“It will be a very interesting conversation, where we will share our views, but above all technical information and experiences regarding the most different aspects of cherry cultivation. In the first session, where we will be with the Advisor and consultant on cherries, Jordi Casas, we will address, for example, topics such as the benefits, risks and effects of dormancy breakers, we will analyze the current situation regarding the winter cold and we will make a varietal summary, the perspective of each variety and how to get more profitability from them, among other topics,” Carlos Tapia explained.

The second virtual meeting is on July 22, and will be attended by the fruit advisor and consultant, Valeria Lepe; then on August 12, Héctor García, General Manager of the Diagnofruit Laboratory, and finally, on the 26th of the same month, the Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, specialist in entomology, Karina Buzetti.

“We cordially invite you to each of these four sessions of “SmartCherry Open”, registrations are already open and we have had an excellent reception, which has us very optimistic; they will be great events, with outstanding speakers and a relaxed conversation, without much protocol, where there will be time for questions, etc. We are sure that “SmartCherry Open” will clearly be a tremendous contribution for the 2021-2022 season”, Tapia concluded.
