Syncron, a consistent alternative for homogenization and advancement in cherry trees

Syncron, a product developed and distributed by Tattersall Agroinsumos, which has proven its effectiveness in the agricultural industry for more than nine years.

Under the concept where Chile is consolidating itself as the main exporter of cherries to China, the challenge of producing high quality fruit with consistent yields is crucial. The application of Synchronizers, such as Syncron, has become essential to improve the setting, size and yield of cherries.

For this reason, Matías Vallejo, Manager of Specialties at Tattersall Agroinsumos, explains that Syncron stands out for being a friendly and organic molecule, rich in amino acids and natural extracts. Its main advantage is its biostimulation capacity, which contributes to an optimal exit from the winter break and synchronizes the phenological states of sprouting, flowering, setting and harvest. Unlike other products such as hydrogenated cyanamide, Syncron does not significantly advance the harvest, but it does ensure uniformity in the growth processes and a higher fruit caliber.

Syncron should be applied during the winter break, approximately 30 days before bud break. Vallejo points out that, “the optimal dose is 2% Syncron together with 12% Calcium Nitrate to maximize results.” He also highlights the importance of calibrating the machinery and properly wetting the trees for a homogeneous and effective application.

Furthermore, research and trials carried out by Tattersall in collaboration with Avium have validated the efficacy of Syncron in different cherry varieties and climatic conditions. These studies have shown that the use of Syncron in tandem with cyanamide can advance bud break, while its application alone homogenizes the development of the plants, in both cases increasing the size and weight of the fruit.

In summary, Syncron is presented as an innovative solution for cherry producers in Chile, allowing uniform sprouting, improving fruit set and caliber, and guaranteeing stable and high-quality productions.
