Switch One Launch: The Key Piece for Disease Control in Cherry Trees

Syngenta Chile has officially launched its new product for the control of cherry tree diseases, Switch One. The launch event took place in two locations, the Sun Monticello Hotel in San Francisco de Mostazal and the Club de la Unión in Curicó.

During the event, Rodrigo García, commercial director of Syngenta Chile, emphasized the importance of sustainable crop management and innovation based on scientific studies in agriculture. He also highlighted that Switch One represents a significant advance in the fight against diseases that affect cherry trees, offering an effective and versatile solution for producers.

The event was attended by leading experts in the sector. Héctor García, speaker and co-founder of Diagnofruit laboratories, commented on the importance of the Maule Region in the production of cherries: “The Maule Region is the main producer of cherries and this was evident at this event, with a high turnout and a high level of guests. A great event all around.” He also added about the qualities of the product: “For me as a phytopathologist, the main characteristic of this product is its versatility in terms of application, which can be in flowering and pre-harvest and at the same time the broad spectrum it has, treating various pathogens and the main ones in cherry are alternaria and botrytis.”

For his part, Carlos Tapia, technical director of Avium and co-founder of Smartcherry, highlighted the importance of Curicó for the cherry sector: “Well, Curicó always attracts the cherry world, so we congratulate the Syngenta team for the high turnout, to talk about an important topic of each season, which is about product launches that complement all the traditional programs that we develop year after year.”

Finally, Fiorella Gattini, Development Manager at Syngenta Chile, expressed her satisfaction with the reception of the event: “We, as Syngenta, are extremely proud to have the audience from the seventh region attend the event, in relation to cherry cultivation, because for us it is a pleasure to be able to launch this type of solutions, such as Switch One, which we know will be the key piece in phytosanitary and disease control programs for cherry trees. Because Switch One is the same security as always, with maximum efficiency and flexibility never seen before.”

The launch of Switch One represents a significant advance in the management of cherry disease, standing out for its effectiveness and versatility, reaffirming Syngenta's commitment to innovation and technological development in the agricultural sector.
