Chilean Fruit Representatives Become Cherry Deliverers Offering Sweet Temptations to Consumers!

Representatives of Frutas de Chile are currently in China leading a series of promotional activities for cherries prior to the Chinese New Year.

Wishing Chinese consumers a “Happy New Year 2024!” On January 18, during a live broadcast held by one of the largest fruit specialty store chains in Changsha, “Greenery Douyin”, two new faces appeared for the viewers, they were Ivan Marambio, president of Frutas de Chile and Claudia Soler, executive director of the Cherry Committee of Frutas de Chile, who interacted with the Chinese public trying to use their best Chinese, although in reality it was not necessary when the focus of the message was to invite people to celebrate these upcoming Chinese New Year festivities with fresh Chilean cherries, which are widely known and sought after when thinking of a gift for family and friends during these celebrations.

During the live streaming broadcast, Claudia Soler spoke to the connected audience, highlighting the different varieties of Chilean cherries, the geographical characteristics of Chile, which make it unique as a producer and exporter of these delicious fruits, and fueling the audience's enthusiasm for consuming our cherries.

Currently, both representatives of Frutas de Chile are in China leading a series of cherry promotion actions prior to the Chinese New Year. Not only do they act as “ambassadors” of Chilean products, but with enthusiastic attitudes and cheerful laughter, they actively explain the great export offer of Chilean fruits, which allowed a high level of popularity for the live broadcast.

After the live broadcast, Claudia Soler highlighted having participated in this experience: “It is really wonderful to appear in a live broadcast for the first time to promote our cherries. I know that live broadcasts for product promotion are very popular among young people in China, an audience we also want to reach. We hope to have answered everyone's questions, getting more young people to know and become interested in Chilean cherries. It was great to be able to establish this type of connection with young people in China.” Likewise, the professional highlighted the work of the Chilean Fruit Cherry Committee to provide high-quality and safe fruit to Chinese consumers, hoping to meet the demand for winter fruits and bring a touch of happiness to Changsha with delicious Chilean cherries.

Spreading sweetness and good omens

For fruits from various countries, inherent deliciousness is crucial, but subsequent marketing efforts have also become increasingly important. Offline services and experiences directly influence consumers' purchasing decisions. Therefore, relying solely on live streaming to boost consumption of Chilean cherries was not the only thing that representatives of Frutas de Chile did.

Carrying an “eye-catching package” they became “deliverers” of fruit, which did not go unnoticed by Chinese consumers, who upon opening the door to receive their order found themselves in front of two representatives of the Chilean cherry sector.

“Delivering cherries with our Ele.me delivery partners before the Spring Festival has been a very nice experience during this trip to China,” said Iván Marambio, adding that they were “very interested in visiting Changsha to talk to local consumers and see for themselves how they enjoy Chilean cherries. We want to listen to the needs of our consumers and spend time promoting our fruit in this very important market.”

“To ensure that everyone can enjoy Chilean cherries, especially families in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, it is not only necessary to improve the efficiency of cross-border transport, but also to form strong alliances with local platforms to bridge the last mile to consumers. Ele.me is therefore a crucial partner in getting Chilean cherries into more homes. This helps consumers taste fresh and delicious cherries, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this sweetness and freshness during the New Year,” concluded the president of Frutas de Chile.
