FMC, a company that offers a wide and complete line of agricultural solutions to meet the needs of the agricultural sector, met with Avium, a company founded and directed by the specialist advisor in cherry production, Carlos Tapia.

"ANDThe objective of the meeting was to share technical knowledge between FMC and Avium”, said Jimena Valech, Marketing Manager of FMC.
FMC was represented by Ignacio Díaz, regional representative for the Metropolitan region, Ariel Soto, regional representative for the VI region, Alejandro Ulloa, regional representative for the VII-XVI regions, Jimena Valech, Marketing Manager, and Jeovanny Rodríguez, R&D coordinator; Avium was represented by the R&D and Consulting teams, led by Emilio Martínez and Bruno Tapia, respectively; and the communications area and its founder Carlos Tapia.
“The topics we addressed during the meeting were: Control of the main pests in cherry trees with the alternatives that FMC has such as Coragen, Exirel, Bull, Avaunt, Rufast, Talstar and Rugby; control of soil larvae with Verimark applied via irrigation; control of weeds with Affinity as an alternative to Paraquat; zero-residue botrytis control with Regalia Maxx and positioning of our line of foliar nutrition and biostimulants,” Jimena Valech explained.
During the event, FMC announced its proposals and/or products for a new cherry season: “For this season we have great news for cherry growers, because our insecticide Exirel (cyantraniliprole), obtained on February 17, 2023, the official approval for stone fruit in Taiwan, with a tolerance of 4 ppm. In this way, cherry and stone fruit growers who want to export to Taiwan will have one more tool for the control of Drosophila suzukii, oriental fruit moth (Cydia molesta), California thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis), grapevine burrito (Naupactus xanthographus) and aphids (Myzus persicae) ”, indicated the Marketing Manager.
Regarding the meeting's results, FMC positively highlighted the event: “It was an excellent opportunity to catch up on the latest developments of the two teams and coordinate joint activities. We believe that FMC has very good solutions for the main problems of cherry production and Avium is an important player in the dissemination of these tools through advice to producers,” concluded Jimena Valech.
