Many have called this phenomenon the perfect storm. The fertilizer crisis has hit agriculture hard with high prices, logistical problems and lack of stock of some products, which has forced the establishment of new strategies to implement in orchards.
We spoke with Juan Pablo Subercasaux, an agricultural engineer with a master's degree in agricultural economics, and two cherry producers to learn about the effects of the fertilizer crisis on agriculture, especially on cherry production.
