The objective is to generate a tool for the early diagnosis of the disease, which allows to know the degree of inoculum load with the phytopathogen Verticillium albo-atrum in irrigation water, soil and plants of kiwi production systems, using molecular techniques through qPCR-HRM.

Although the incidence of fungal diseases is transversal with respect to fruit and crop production in Chile, this initiative focuses on addressing the problem in five species: table grape, cherry, blueberry, lemon and orange trees.
