Origin: Agricultural Research Station, Summerland, Canada.
Santina is an early cherry, larger than average in size, dark red, ripening about 15 days earlier than Van. It is firm and the skin is very attractive and shiny. It is oval in shape, with a medium-long pedicel. The flavour is moderately sweet for an early cherry. The tree is self-fertile but never overloaded. If the fruit is harvested early, with red skin, the size is small. It is moderately resistant to splitting.
