{"id":8947,"date":"2022-02-24T11:44:45","date_gmt":"2022-02-24T14:44:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-beplan.cl\/clientes\/smartcherry.cl_220131\/?p=7978"},"modified":"2022-04-07T18:54:43","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T21:54:43","slug":"precios-de-la-cereza-en-europa-se-mantienen-firmes-mientras-que-en-china-siguen-a-la-baja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/en\/noticias\/precios-de-la-cereza-en-europa-se-mantienen-firmes-mientras-que-en-china-siguen-a-la-baja\/","title":{"rendered":"Cherry prices in Europe remain firm, while in China they continue to decline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>In the last week in Europe, prices were between EUR 28 and 31 per 5-kilo box, or EUR 5.9, equivalent to USD 8.2.<\/em><\/strong><br><br>Week six, in which Chile exported 383 tons of cherries (76 thousand boxes), practically marked the end of the 2021-22 campaign; to date, our country has exported 355,700 tons in total, only 0.8% more than last season, and it is expected that after week seven and eight, the figure will rise to a maximum of 356-357 thousand tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>IQonsulting, in its weekly report, reported on the main export destinations in the current national cherry season:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev-beplan.cl\/clientes\/smartcherry.cl_220131\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/China-88-EEUU-4-segundo-mercado-m\u00e1s-importante-para-Chile.-Corea-y-Taiw\u00e1n-2-Inglaterra-y-Ecuador-1-Otros-40-pa\u00edses-menos-del-1-1024x512.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7979\" width=\"339\" height=\"169\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe now have a great deal of experience with the fruit placed in other markets to be able to analyse and continue to advance in this market expansion for this important fruit,\u201d <\/em>added Isabel Quiroz, Founder and Director of iQonsulting.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for prices, prices in Europe remained firm, as Chile remains the only supplier and there is less fruit available; prices reached EUR 28 and 31 per box, or EUR 5.9 per kilo (USD 8.2 per kilo).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the United States, meanwhile, the offer was considered <em>light<\/em>, which caused the<em> <\/em>Prices will be slightly adjusted upwards. Prices were between USD 32-40 per 5-kilo box, that is, USD 6.5 to 8 per kilo, depending on the size.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThere were Lapins that showed signs of fatigue, they were soft and they sold for USD 10 to 16 per 5 kilo box; in Los Angeles the most expensive fruit of last week was sold, a very fine fruit from Regina that reached prices of USD 46 and 54 per box,\u201d<\/em> Quiroz explained.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cToday we have a kind of laboratory between the United States and Europe after this season to see how we continue to advance with our cherries, especially that we will have more volume available to send to these markets, because what matters most to supermarkets is having the volume assured to make programs, something that was not happening in the US, however now we can advance in these two markets with programs by having more fruit available and re-awaken the interest of the chains that were outside of the product,\u201d <\/em>said Isabel Quiroz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In China, prices continue to fall: <em>\u201cThe average was USD 4.2 per kilo in week 7, lower than the previous week when it had been around USD 6 per kilo, and the range was between USD 3 and 6.25 dollars per kilo; the fruit that was sold most expensive was a Regina at USD 7.5 per kilo, a price even lower than that obtained in the high range of the United States and in the average of Europe at this time of the season, obviously, we know that these prices have nothing to do with what the prices were before the Chinese New Year, <\/em>said Isabel Quiroz, Founder and Director of IQonsulting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, the market in Korea, of great importance for Chile, has been active and stable, with a very high quality requirement and, at this time, with an average price of USD 54 per 5-kilo box.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>En la reciente semana en Europa los precios estuvieron entre EUR 28 y 31 por caja de 5 kilos, es decir&nbsp; EUR 5,9, equivalentes a USD 8,2.
