Sin embargo, para el especialista, hay una tarea que puede marcar la diferencia entre una temporada eficiente y una que genere alg\u00fan inconveniente para la productividad del cerezo: la mantenci\u00f3n y calibraci\u00f3n de los equipos pulverizadores.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl equipo hay que calibrarlo siempre\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3, aclarando que calibrar no es s\u00f3lo realizar un c\u00e1lculo te\u00f3rico, sino comprobar en terreno que el pulverizador realmente est\u00e1 aplicando lo que se defini\u00f3. Para eso, la maquinaria debe estar en \u00f3ptimas condiciones, ya que cualquier desgaste o falla genera desviaciones en la aplicaci\u00f3n. En invierno, las condiciones permiten trabajar con ventajas importantes. Sin follaje presente, es posible reducir vol\u00famenes de aplicaci\u00f3n porque el objetivo a cubrir es menor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La temporada invernal tambi\u00e9n ofrece mejores condiciones ambientales para aplicar. Las bajas temperaturas, la alta humedad relativa y la menor presencia de viento reducen la deriva y la evaporaci\u00f3n de gotas, pero tambi\u00e9n existen riesgos: la humedad excesiva puede generar agua libre sobre las plantas y obligar a retrasar aplicaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donoso sostuvo que muchos productores siguen viendo ciertos recambios como un gasto, cuando en realidad son una inversi\u00f3n. Pone como ejemplo el cambio de boquillas o la modernizaci\u00f3n de estanques. \u201cPor un equipo pulverizador pueden pasar m\u00e1s de 70 mil d\u00f3lares en programas fitosanitarios. Ahorrar en mantenci\u00f3n puede terminar costando mucho m\u00e1s\u201d, manifest\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalmente, mencion\u00f3 que el mantenimiento preventivo debe entenderse como una estrategia permanente y no s\u00f3lo previa a temporada.
