En Chile, encontr\u00f3 diversos nichos ecol\u00f3gicos que albergan sobre las 76 mil hect\u00e1reas de cerezos<sup>1<\/sup>, uno de sus hospederos m\u00e1s relevantes y, que destaca como la principal especie de fruta fresca exportada la temporada 2024 \u2013 2025, alcanzando los 2,89 mil millones de d\u00f3lares FOB (45% de participaci\u00f3n)<sup>1<\/sup>. Situaci\u00f3n que ha demandado un intenso y prolijo programa de control en base a insecticidas, principalmente de s\u00edntesis qu\u00edmica, pero complementado con alternativas biorracionales.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El periodo cr\u00edtico para el manejo de esta especie en el cultivo del cerezo se ha definido entre color pajizo y cosecha.
