{"id":41974,"date":"2024-12-04T15:19:02","date_gmt":"2024-12-04T19:19:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/?p=41974"},"modified":"2024-12-04T15:19:07","modified_gmt":"2024-12-04T19:19:07","slug":"inia-y-biofrutales-lideran-mejoramiento-genetico-de-la-cereza-en-chile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/en\/noticias\/inia-y-biofrutales-lideran-mejoramiento-genetico-de-la-cereza-en-chile\/","title":{"rendered":"INIA y Biofrutales lideran mejoramiento gen\u00e9tico de la cereza en Chile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Durante los meses de octubre y noviembre, se llevaron a cabo sucesivos D\u00edas de Campo en tres regiones de Chile, donde productores y exportadores pudieron conocer el potencial de diversas selecciones de cerezas.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se trata de cinco exitosos d\u00edas de campo organizados por el Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIA), junto a Biofrutales y Corfo, que permitieron a productores y exportadores de cerezas de diversas regiones conocer avances clave del Programa de Mejoramiento Gen\u00e9tico (PMG) de Cerezas, una iniciativa que busca fortalecer la competitividad de esta fruta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las actividades se llevaron a cabo en predios ubicados en Ovalle (dos jornadas), Buin y Rengo (dos jornadas), y ofrecieron la oportunidad de evaluar segregantes tempranos, cosechados a partir del 20 de octubre, hasta segregantes tard\u00edos, recolectados en la \u00faltima semana de noviembre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas selecciones reflejan el trabajo de innovaci\u00f3n que busca desarrollar variedades adaptadas a distintas condiciones edafoclim\u00e1ticas, manteniendo altos est\u00e1ndares de calidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cEstos d\u00edas de campo han sido fundamentales para mostrar c\u00f3mo la investigaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo pueden aportar al avance de la fruticultura nacional. La cereza es un motor econ\u00f3mico para Chile, y contar con variedades mejoradas nos permitir\u00e1 mantener una posici\u00f3n de liderazgo, pero tambi\u00e9n enfrentar de mejor manera los desaf\u00edos del cambio clim\u00e1tico\u201d<\/em>, destac\u00f3 el Dr. Jos\u00e9 Manuel Donoso, investigador de INIA Rayentu\u00e9 y l\u00edder del PMG de Cerezas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Los avances de PMG: Consolidando alternativas productivas<\/strong><br>En los m\u00e1s de 14 a\u00f1os de trabajo del PMG de Cerezas, se han logrado 74 selecciones intermedias y cuatro selecciones avanzadas, cada una evaluada en funci\u00f3n de su desempe\u00f1o en diferentes condiciones de suelo y clima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas selecciones intermedias y avanzadas representan un paso importante hacia la consolidaci\u00f3n de alternativas productivas, rentables y adaptadas a las diversas realidades agroclim\u00e1ticas del pa\u00eds, con fruta de excelente calidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para Rodrigo Cruzat, gerente de Biofrutales, estas jornadas <em>\u201cpermiten dar a conocer los avances del PMG a los socios de este programa, productores e incluso autoridades ligadas al \u00e1rea. De esta manera queremos asegurar el apoyo de largo plazo para el mejoramiento y escalamiento productivo. Las etapas iniciales de cruzamiento y selecci\u00f3n debieran ser apoyadas tanto por el sector privado como por el p\u00fablico a nivel nacional. Para el escalamiento, podemos trabajar a nivel regional, seleccionando y adaptando para condiciones m\u00e1s espec\u00edficas. La idea es instalar capacidades transversales con bajadas locales\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los participantes de los D\u00edas de Campo tambi\u00e9n tuvieron la posibilidad de observar de cerca c\u00f3mo cada una de las selecciones se comporta en distintos tipos de suelo y climas. Esto permite ajustar estrategias productivas y fortalecer la transferencia de tecnolog\u00edas hacia los agricultores, un pilar fundamental para el desarrollo sostenible de la agricultura chilena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con el futuro del PMG enfocado en generar opciones productivas y adaptadas en los pr\u00f3ximos cinco a\u00f1os, INIA reafirma su compromiso de liderar procesos de investigaci\u00f3n, desarrollo e innovaci\u00f3n que impacten directamente en la competitividad y sostenibilidad del sector frut\u00edcola
