{"id":41826,"date":"2024-11-27T17:07:47","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T21:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/?p=41826"},"modified":"2024-11-27T17:07:48","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T21:07:48","slug":"aparecen-nuevos-mecanismos-de-control-de-plagas-de-frutas-sin-insecticidas-para-la-industria-agroalimentaria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/en\/noticias\/aparecen-nuevos-mecanismos-de-control-de-plagas-de-frutas-sin-insecticidas-para-la-industria-agroalimentaria\/","title":{"rendered":"Aparecen nuevos mecanismos de control de plagas de frutas sin insecticidas para la industria agroalimentaria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>A la hora de hablar de comercializaci\u00f3n de fruta chilena, y luego de avances en estudios que comprueban la contaminaci\u00f3n de los insecticidas debido a los compuestos que afectan la inocuidad de la fruta, han surgido nuevas metodolog\u00edas para mantener la calidad de \u00e9sta de la mano de t\u00e9cnicas sustentables, que reduzcan el impacto medioambiental.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esa disyuntiva, entre mantener la calidad de la fruta junto con encontrar una soluci\u00f3n org\u00e1nica y amigable con el entorno, motivaron a Tania Zaviezo, agr\u00f3noma, doctora en entomolog\u00eda y acad\u00e9mica de la Facultad de Agronom\u00eda y Sistemas Naturales de la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica, PUC, a trabajar en esta investigaci\u00f3n relacionada con la sustentabilidad y que ayudar\u00eda a reducir la huella de carbono, producida por el uso de los insecticidas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00abEstamos trabajando una investigaci\u00f3n relacionada al control biol\u00f3gico, que es el uso de los enemigos naturales de las plagas para su control. Lo anterior, puede ser usado con distintas estrategias: introducir un enemigo natural (efectivo, espec\u00edfico e inocuo) a una nueva zona geogr\u00e1fica o criar en grandes cantidades un enemigo natural ya existente y liberarlo en los mejores momentos\u201d<\/em>, afirm\u00f3 la experta al sitio Simfruit.cl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Combatir las plagas con recursos de la misma naturaleza<br><\/strong>Luego de diez a\u00f1os de an\u00e1lisis, per\u00edodo en el cual se estudi\u00f3 el parasitoide de la polilla de manzana, llamado Mastrus ridens, el que act\u00faa paralizando a la larva de esta plaga (Cydia pomonella), se lleg\u00f3 a la conclusi\u00f3n de que posteriormente, el parasitoide deja huevos sobre la larva y su descendencia se alimenta de \u00e9sta, elimin\u00e1ndola por completo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por ello, la acad\u00e9mica afirm\u00f3 que el objetivo es <em>\u00abtrabajar el control de plagas con recursos que la misma naturaleza ya provee y as\u00ed reducir el uso de plaguicidas en la agricultura\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se trata de mecanismos de control biol\u00f3gico y -aunque se liberen en masa- su modo de acci\u00f3n es distinto, dado a que no hay un agente t\u00f3xico involucrado. Lo anterior se explica porque en el mundo de las plagas existen organismos que son herb\u00edvoros y otros que se alimentan de ellos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cEs como una \u2018mini selva\u2019. Pero -para su uso en agricultura- es importante usar aquellos espec\u00edficos, que se especializan en alimentarse de unas pocas especies, y as\u00ed pueden tener un mejor control, sobrevivir con bajas poblaciones de la plaga, y no terminar aliment\u00e1ndose de aquello que no es el objetivo\u201d<\/em>, agreg\u00f3 la acad\u00e9mica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para poder avanzar en la investigaci\u00f3n, Zaviezo junto a investigadores colaboradores viajaron hasta Kazajist\u00e1n en febrero de este a\u00f1o, espec\u00edficamente hacia \u201cla zona de origen de los manzanos\u201d, ubicada en las monta\u00f1as de Tien Shan, al sur oeste de ese pa\u00eds. Fue ah\u00ed donde aprendi\u00f3 c\u00f3mo trabajaba este parasitoide Mastrus ridens y c\u00f3mo podr\u00eda ayudar en el control de la plaga de la manzana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante esta investigaci\u00f3n, la acad\u00e9mica Zaviezo junto a su equipo han logrado relacionarse con grupos de investigaci\u00f3n de diversos pa\u00edses, pasando por el Instituto de Protecci\u00f3n de Plantas y Cuarentena de Kazajist\u00e1n, el Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) de Francia, Plant and Food Research de Nueva Zelanda y m\u00e1s recientemente con el Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action de Australia.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Investigaci\u00f3n fue realizada por acad\u00e9mica de la
