This study focused on the application of the Surround-Tattersall program with the purpose of preventing thermal stress in the post-harvest phase and enhancing the accumulation of reserves in an adult cherry orchard, specifically in the Regina variety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The post-harvest period is crucial to determine the success of production in the following season. During this period, it is essential to address and mitigate the adverse effects of thermal and water stress, which can reduce the productive potential of cherry cultivation, since temperatures above 36 \u00b0C can stop the plant&#039;s metabolism, causing oxidative damage to different organs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To counteract this situation, the importance of proper irrigation scheduling is emphasized, supported by application programs such as Surround on the soil and foliar applications. This aims to avoid potential situations of thermal and water stress, ensuring cooling of the plant during flower differentiation and promoting the safe accumulation of nitrogen and carbon reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The post-harvest period also provides the opportunity to boost growth to optimize nutrient recovery, water absorption and reserve accumulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason, the research carried out by Avium focused on evaluating the Surround application program during this stage of the crop. Daily measurements of stomatal conductance (gs) were taken and reserve levels in the fruit centers were evaluated, among other relevant parameters. The trial was carried out at Agr\u00edcola Do\u00f1a Consuelo, a Regina variety cherry orchard located in the commune of Romeral, Maule Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results of this study provide valuable information on the effectiveness of Tattersall&#039;s Surround program in mitigating heat stress and enhancing reserve accumulation in post-harvest cherry trees, thus contributing to the
