Effect of the application of a post-harvest fertilization program on the level of nutritional reserves and productivity in cherry trees (Prunus avium) VAR. LAPINS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The processes of initial budding, flowering and fruit setting in cherry trees depend largely on the nutritional reserves generated in the previous season, since the plant is not able to generate the necessary photosynthates due to its incipient leaf surface in the phenological stages mentioned.<\/p>\n

After the harvest and during the period of high summer temperatures, it is crucial to keep the cherry tree active, with a high photosynthetic rate that allows the production of reserve elements, along with stimulating root activity for adequate absorption of minerals and water.<\/p>\n

In addition to this nutritional contribution in the reserves, it is important to consider that the differentiation of flower buds occurs in this period, another fundamental reason to maintain a physiological balance in cherry orchards.<\/p>\n

Considering this background, a FERTUM product program was applied during post-harvest in Lapins cherry trees to evaluate its effect on nutritional reserves and productivity in the following season.<\/p>\n

Test carried out by CER (Rosario Evaluation Center, www.ceresearch.com<\/a><\/strong>),<\/strong> at Agr\u00edcola Rucapaine, Paine, Metropolitan Region, between January 15 and December 18, 2018.<\/p>\n

CHLOROPHYLL CONTENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The decrease in chlorophyll content indicates that the application of the post-harvest program allowed.<\/p>\n

RESERVE ACCUMULATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

The arginine and starch contents of flowers, parameters of the accumulated reserves, were favored with the applied treatments.<\/p>\n

FLORAL RETURN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Floral return in twigs improved significantly with FERTUM treatments (T2 and T4).<\/p>\n

QUALITY PARAMETERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The application of FERTUM (T2 and T4) significantly increased the dry matter of the fruit at harvest, being an important parameter in the post-harvest life and quality of the fruit in storage.<\/p>\n

CONCLUSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fertilization and biostimulation programs applied during post-harvest in cherry trees facilitate the tree's ability to generate an increase in reserves, an increase in floral yield and dry matter in the fruit. The combination of the products FERTUM FOLIAR, AMINOFERT, MAGNESIO and BIOFERT PLUS allows these objectives to be achieved.<\/p>\n
