This new office will be responsible for managing all business in Western Europe, where the first commercial agreements have already been made. In this regard, Marco Bezzi has been appointed as Regional Manager in charge of the entire Eastern region. Marco Bezzi is an Environmental Engineer with a PhD from the University of Trento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Crist\u00f3bal Rivas, General Manager of Wiseconn, Europe is an important market for the firm because \u201cit represents a tremendous opportunity to continue growing and reach more farmers who will see how technology can be relevant for more efficient irrigation in their fields, especially in a continent that is being greatly affected by drought, such as Europe.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Guillermo Valenzuela, another of the firm&#039;s founding partners, &quot;arriving in Spain has been particularly timely, as it opens up a huge opportunity for us to reach all those small, medium and large farmers who are being affected by the severe drought that is occurring in that country, and we believe that we have the right tools to be able to help them.&quot;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He adds that, in this regard, &quot;we reaffirm the importance for us of using sustainability in the processes with all our clients, and reinforce our firm commitment to caring for the environment through concrete data on carbon footprint savings.&quot;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this way, Wiseconn already has seven offices open in South America, Mexico, the United States, Australia and Europe with more than 17,000 nodes installed in more than 2,000 fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Wiseconn<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WiseConn is a Chilean company specializing in smart irrigation technology. Its work is aimed at improving the management of such an important resource as water in agriculture, all from the cloud and with an advanced local control system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DropControl, a comprehensive water management platform for agriculture, has been operating since 2006 with the help of four Chilean entrepreneurs: Crist\u00f3bal Rivas, Guillermo Valenzuela, Luis Felipe Escobar, and Jos\u00e9 Ulloa. Its innovation stems from the latest advances in wireless networks for irrigation measurement and automation, which has allowed it to expand its borders to 10 states in the US, as well as fields in Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Central America, Europe, Australia, and Turkey.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They currently cover more than 500,000 hectares and have more than 17,000 nodes installed in more than 2,000 fields in Chile and the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 100 people work for the firm, 22 development engineers, support teams for Latin America and the US, and a sales team with a special focus on Latin America and the United States. This completes six regional offices around the world located in Santiago, Vi\u00f1a del Mar, Fresno, Trento, Mildura, Australia; Los Angeles,<strong> <\/strong>and Madrid.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In late 2022, the firm completed a Series B capital raise led by Morningside Group, a private equity and venture capital firm based in Boston, USA, to finance its international
