That is the hallmark we wanted to give to this version of Agrotrade 2023,\u201d says the executive director of Viveros de Chile, Maritrini Lapuente.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, with a focus on the sustainability of the sector, experts will analyze the current global context, marked by climatic extremes, economic pressures and conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abWe have been facing very complicated seasons, and not only due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but also to factors associated with climate change, productivity, availability of workers, the rise in inputs, greater demands in international markets, pests and diseases, as well as significant logistical challenges. Therefore, we believe that to the extent that we work in a coordinated manner between the private and public sectors, as well as between unions and actors throughout the fruit production and export chain, we will be able to advance in solutions that benefit us all, especially our country,\u00bb said Iv\u00e1n Marambio, president of the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX), who will be part of the exhibitors and discussion panels during the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through talks, discussion panels and a trade fair with national and international stands and exhibitors, the main players in the agricultural sector will be able to discuss and learn about the different challenges of new fruit genetics, where prominent experts in varietal improvement will talk about the existing offer and its impact on fruit growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGenetics will be the pillar of the development of agriculture in the future. Not only does it open up possibilities for fruit trees with desired characteristics in terms of flavour, colour and size, but it will also allow us to use resources more efficiently, saving water and labour, adapting to limited areas and achieving greater sustainability by developing plants that are tolerant to pests and diseases,\u201d explains the president of Uvanova and 2nd vice-president of the SNA, Carolina Cruz, who will participate in the panel discussion \u201cEvolution and Challenges of New Fruit Genetics\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The eighth version of Agrotrade 2023 will take place on May 24th from 8:30 a.m. at the Monticello Events Center.
