In the case of the leaves, necrotic spots of different sizes become visible, surrounded by a chlorotic halo; and yellowing, scalding and defoliation may also occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the cycle of the bacteria and the damage it causes in the Cherry tree?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Epidemiology in Cerezo<\/strong>\u00a0It is characterized by a\u00a0<strong>epiphytic phase on tissues<\/strong>\u00a0or other cultivated hosts and in some weeds, with leaf spots observed throughout the year,\u00a0<strong>alternating with the canker phase<\/strong>, which predominates in winter, the latter being the one that can cause the death of plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-id=\"17785\" src=\"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Muerte-plantas-CB-2-300x225-2.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17785\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-id=\"17783\" src=\"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Muerte-plantas-CB-300x225-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17783\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-id=\"17786\" src=\"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Muerte-plantas-Cancer-bacterial-300x225-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17786\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Bacterial multiplication in bark tissues occurs in late autumn or early spring.<\/strong>, without significant canker development before the spring period. At the beginning of summer, winter cankers, resulting from infection in the previous fall, gradually decrease their activity and growth. Bacteria that remain in buds or near scars, cankers or necrotic tissue will multiply when temperature and humidity conditions are favorable. Infection by this bacteria can also occur significantly through functional structures of the plant such as\u00a0<strong>lenticels and stomata<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/smartcherry.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Cancer-bacterial-en-flores-300x225-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17787\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flower blight and shoot dieback<\/strong>, occurs during spring, where infected flowers have a brown, wet appearance, wither and hang from the twig. From the flowers, the bacteria can spread to the shoot, causing a typical dieback. Infected fruit shows browning and soft rot of the stem and drupe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pathogenesis, which refers to the&nbsp;<strong>development of the disease<\/strong>, is enhanced in localities where they predominate&nbsp;<strong>Cold and wet springs, strong winds and frequent humidity such as drizzle and dew<\/strong>; conditions that can occur frequently in many places in the southern part of the country.
